TLCS Online Pathways Program Overview

Our Pathways Program is designed to provide families with flexible, personalized educational options while ensuring students receive the guidance and support they need to succeed.

Key Features

• Grade-Level Teacher Support
  Every student is paired with a certified grade-level teacher who helps guide and assess learning progress. Teachers provide regular check-ins, tutoring, and academic support to ensure success.
   
• Parent-Led Instruction (K–8)
  For elementary and middle school students, parents lead instruction at home using an approved comprehensive core curriculum of their choice. Families select the curriculum that best fits their child’s learning style, while teachers provide oversight, assessments, and resources.
   
• Individualized Learning Plans
  Each student benefits from a tailored learning plan that reflects their unique needs, strengths, and goals. Instruction can be customized to support advanced learners as well as those who need additional reinforcement.
   
• Asynchronous Class Options
  Students have access to flexible, asynchronous classes that allow them to learn at their own pace while still receiving support from teachers when needed.
   
• Middle School Online Options
  Middle school students may participate in online classes to supplement their parent-led instruction, providing more variety and structure as they prepare for high school.
   
• High School Online Requirements
  High school students take their core courses online through SchoolsPLP, with subject-certified teachers providing instruction, feedback, and grading. Students also have the ability to participate in Expanded Options courses with local colleges, giving them access to advanced coursework and early college credit opportunities.
   
• Allotments for Enrichment
  Families receive program allotments to support student learning. These funds may be used for curriculum, supplies, materials, field trips, classes, lessons, and other educational opportunities.
